ABOUT MAFIA THE OLD COUNTRY
Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily. Fight to survive as Enzo Favara and prove your worth to the Cosa Nostra in this immersive third-person action-adventure set during a dangerous, unforgiving era. Enzo will do anything for a better life. After a brutal childhood of forced labor, he's ready to risk everything to become a man of honor in the Torrisi crime family. His oath to the Cosa Nostra, with all the power, temptation, and hardship it entails, is a burning reminder of this simple truth: Family Takes Sacrifice. This thrilling narrative is brought to life by stunning visuals, cinematic storytelling, and the authentic realism that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is known for. Enzo's story unfolds in a time when skill with a stiletto blade was a deadly asset, a lupara sawed-off shotgun was a go-to firearm, murderous vendettas raged for decades, and mafiosi patrolled their protection rackets on foot, horseback, or behind the wheel of turn-of-the-century motorcars.
Mafia: The Old Country is slated for release on August 8, 2025. That puts it almost nine years out from the previous mainline entry, Mafia 3, and just under five years after Mafia: Definitive Edition, the enhanced remake of the first Mafia game.
Mafia: The Old Country will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S at launch. It won't be released on previous generation consoles, like the PS4 and Xbox One, nor will it be one of the this summer - at least, not when it's first released.
Mafia: The Old Country is now available for preorder on all platforms where it'll eventually be playable. Everyone who preorders the game, regardless of edition, will receive a free digital download: the Soldato Pack. It's a mostly cosmetic DLC, containing a set of items to change Enzo's appearance, along with an equippable charm. We don't know exactly what that charm will do, but it's likely to be an optional accessory to give you a little boost in the early game.
If you want something a little snazzier, you can also preorder Mafia: The Old Country's Deluxe Edition, which is going for $59.99. Whether preordered or purchased at launch, the Deluxe Edition comes with a variety of digital goodies:
