Microsoft Accidentally Reveals Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Xbox Release Date

It looks like Microsoft has let slip the release date for Silent Hill 2 Remake on Xbox Series X|S — and fans waiting for the game’s rumored DLC might have reason to keep their hopes up, because the Xbox version is arriving very soon.

A listing that briefly appeared on the Xbox Store (and was quickly taken down) indicated that the acclaimed horror remake will launch on Xbox Series X|S on November 21, 2025. That means the game’s year-long exclusivity on PS5 and PC will officially wrap up later this month. (Credit to TrueAchievements for spotting it.)

The leak also mentioned a Deluxe Edition, which includes a digital artbook, the official soundtrack, and even a “Pyramid Head pizza box” cosmetic. Both the standard and deluxe versions are scheduled for release on the same day — November 21. Another bundle featuring Silent Hill f, one of the year’s standout titles, was also shown in the listing.

What the page didn’t mention, however, was the long-rumored “Born From a Wish” DLC. For those unfamiliar, the original Silent Hill 2 made its way to the OG Xbox several months after the PS2 debut, and that version included the extra “Born From a Wish” scenario to sweeten the deal. Fans have been speculating that Konami might repeat history with this remake, but for now, there’s no sign of it.
