During a Q&A following the company’s latest earnings report, Zelnick expressed "great optimism" about the Switch 2 and confirmed plans to launch four titles on the new Nintendo system.
"Historically, being a third-party in the Nintendo business has been a bit challenging," Zelnick admitted. "But Nintendo has been very forthcoming in addressing that. We're stepping up too, because we have great optimism for the platform."
Zelnick emphasized that Take-Two evaluates each platform on a case-by-case basis but sees significant opportunities in bringing older games—like Red Dead Redemption 2—to new systems.
When Will Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch on Switch 2?
While GameReactor points to a possible release in late 2025, other sources like Nintenduo suggest the game will launch before March 31, 2026, the end of Take-Two’s current fiscal year. It’s still unclear whether the port will be available as a digital-only release or also get a physical edition.
