ASUS has officially brought the ROG Ally X to Indian shores, and it's packed with serious upgrades aimed at hardcore handheld gamers. Powered by AMD’s Z1 Extreme processor and featuring integrated Radeon 780M graphics with 12 Compute Units, this device first debuted globally back in June.

One of the biggest highlights is the massive 80Wh battery, designed to extend play sessions without constantly reaching for a charger. Storage gets a major boost too, now featuring a 1TB SSD, expandable up to 4TB, paired with 24GB of RAM—ideal for multitasking and modern AAA titles.

The ROG Ally X retains its full HD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, enhanced by VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and 500 nits brightness, offering vibrant visuals with 100% sRGB color accuracy.

Design-wise, ASUS has introduced improved tactile controls and hall-effect triggers for better precision. On the software side, it supports AMD’s gaming technologies like RSR, FSR, and AFMF for enhanced performance and smoother visuals.

In terms of connectivity, it now includes dual USB-C ports (with Thunderbolt 4), a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Audio is another area where the ROG Ally X stands out—it features Dolby Atmos audio and comes with a free lifetime Dolby Access subscription for richer soundscapes.

Arnold Su, VP of Consumer & Gaming PC, System Business Group at ASUS India, shared his enthusiasm: “The ROG Ally X is designed for gamers seeking performance and comfort in a truly portable form factor. With the upgraded thermal system and ergonomic refinements, we believe it delivers a more immersive gaming experience.”

The thermal upgrades include a redesigned Zero Gravity cooling system, which introduces an extra fan and a third air vent—reportedly dropping internal temperatures by as much as 8°C, according to ASUS.

Starting at ₹89,990, the ROG Ally X is now available across both online and physical retail outlets.
